A five-point star is one of the hardest shapes to draw freehand and one of the most often asked for. It turns up on the top of a paper tree, on a reward chart, on a costume, on a name label, and it never comes out even on the first try. These 12 sheets settle that once.
Plain printer paper covers almost everything: colouring, hanging, taping to a window, being replaced when it gets bent. Thin card, around 160 g per square metre, is worth it only for a star you intend to reuse as a stencil.
What paper works best for a star template?
Plain printer paper for colouring and hanging, thin card for drawing around. The outlines are thick on purpose, so both survive a cheap black and white printer without breaking up.
