How to Print

Getting a clean print every time, with paper and scaling tips.

Printing a Class Doodle sheet takes less than a minute. Here is the reliable way to do it.

Step by step

  1. Open a collection and click "Download PDF" under the sheet you want. It downloads instantly, with no sign-up.
  2. Open the PDF and press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac).
  3. Set the scale to 100%, or "Actual size". Our pages are laid out for US Letter and print correctly on A4 with no cropping.
  4. Print in black and white if you like. Every illustration is drawn in clean line art, so it stays perfectly readable in grayscale.

Paper tips

  • Ordinary copy paper (75-90 g/m2) is right for tracing, counting and writing practice.
  • Cardstock (160-200 g/m2) is worth it for anything you want to cut out, keep on the wall or laminate.
  • Laminate a sheet and children can work on it with dry-erase markers, over and over.
  • If the child is going to colour the page, print on paper a little thicker than copy paper so felt tips do not bleed through.

Something looks cut off?

Check that page scaling is set to 100% and that the paper size in the dialogue matches what is in the tray. If it still looks wrong, tell us which sheet it was. We print every page before it goes live, but printers have opinions.
