Science at this age is mostly looking closely. A young child cannot read a paragraph about Saturn, but they can spot its rings across the room, and once they can spot it they want to name it, count its neighbours and put it in its place in the line. These worksheets are built for exactly that kind of looking.
The first collection is the solar system: planet coloring and tracing pages, labeling and ordering activities, fact cards and two compiled PDF packs, in English and Spanish.
What makes a science worksheet illustrated?
Every printable in this section carries a real drawing inside the PDF, and the drawing does the teaching. A planet page shows the planet's stripes, rings or craters instead of an empty circle, so a child can name, order and describe what they see before writing a single word.
